In his report, the chairman of the board, Sune Appel, gave an update on the activities of Billund Erhverv in the past year. 2025 was another year of great activity, where, among other things, 85 member events were held with almost 2.000 participants and around 400 dialogues and meetings with local companies about developing their business.
Elections for the board of directors
In addition to approval of the annual accounts, information about the budget, etc., the evening featured elections for the board of directors.
Bo Krolykke, Knud Jørgensen El ApS, Martin Ebmark, Airport Hotel, Billund ApS, and Jesper Jensen, SkoUniverset, did not stand for re-election to the board. Stern Johansen, KG Hansen & Sønner A/S, sought re-election and was elected.
Of the other six candidates who ran for the board, Jacob Hindhede, WOW PARK Billund ApS, Thomas Lauersen, IFF, and Vivi Stoklund, Sport 24 Grindsted & Billund, were elected.
For the alternate positions, Marianne Thorø, BillundOnline, was re-elected, and Erik Serup, owner of Erik Serup, was elected as a new alternate.
At the subsequent constitution, Sune Appel was appointed to continue as chairman of the board, and Karina Husted Mikkelsen will continue as deputy chairman.

Activities and initiatives in 2025
During the year, members of Billund Erhverv have gathered for professional networking, presentations, company visits and social events across industries, among other things.
In 2025, Billund Business started the Apprentice & Student Network initiative to increase the attraction and well-being of apprentices and students, create relationships and strengthen the connection to both companies and the area. The initiative has received great support, and so far 18 companies, organizations and foundations support the network with the almost 140 apprentices and students.
Billund Erhverv also hosted the Billund Career Tour, together with a number of local companies. More than 400 students visited local companies and gained a unique insight into career opportunities in the tech, tourism and construction industries during the autumn.
As part of the Billund Airport Innovation Hub, a 32-hour HACKATHON 2025 was also held in November at Cargo Center Billund, where three tech companies worked on solutions to specific challenges in the transport industry.
The Business Promotion Award 2025 was given to Sport 24 Grindsted & Billund and was presented in connection with Billund Business' New Year's Eve in January 2026.
Chairman of the Board, Sune Appel, concluded his report by thanking the members for their cooperation and support for the work of Billund Erhverv.
The evening was rounded off with an inspiring and topical presentation by researcher and defense expert, Mikkel Vedby Rasmussen, about The new chess pieces of geopolitics – from the Arctic to the South China Sea.
