Sales and generational change: Are you considering selling or transferring your business – now or in the future?

Selling or transferring your business is a big decision for most people, with many considerations: What is the business actually worth? What is a buyer looking for? And how do you prepare as a seller in the best possible way – both financially and mentally?

You will get answers to typical questions from two experienced speakers who work with business sales, generational changes and ownership changes on a daily basis. They will give you insight into the most important mechanisms, pitfalls and opportunities in the process.

You can also hear Lars Bryde, CEO of LB Invest ApS and member of Billund Erhverv, talk about when he sold his share of the company Bentsen Emballage in 2024. He will discuss the importance of getting started well in advance, how he mentally prepared himself to get ready for the sale and to sell his company, and how he found the right buyer.

For the event, e.g. answer to:

  • How do you determine the value of a company – and which multiples are used in practice?
  • How do debt, working capital and equity affect the amount you are actually left with after a sale?
  • How much do your own role and the key people matter to the company's price?
  • What happens from the initial valuation to the final deal?
  • What legal requirements, warranties and obligations come with a sale?
  • And last but not least: How does a generational change differ from a sale to an external buyer?

In connection with the event, it is possible to have a dialogue with Allan Clausen, a business developer at Erhvervshus Sydjylland, specializing in generational and ownership changes.

This event is for you who:

  • Want to understand what creates value in a company
  • Want to avoid costly mistakes
  • Will be better prepared for opportunities and decisions related to the transfer and sale of a business

There will be ample opportunity to ask questions along the way.
