We visit key players who work with and research new technologies within nuclear power and PtX.
Because we are curious, and because security of supply is crucial for business.
Because knowledgeable and inspiring people invite us inside and make us wiser, provide nuance and perspective.
And because networks create value.
We visit prominent companies and research institutions that invite us inside and share presentations, insights and experiences with nuclear power as an element of PtX.
The trip is for members of Billund Erhverv. There is room for 25 participants and max. two participants per company. Registration on a first-come, first-served basis.
The price to join the technology trip to Copenhagen is 2500,- per participant (excl. VAT).
The price includes transportation, accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks during meals.
The program is under development and is updated continuously.
For questions about the program and participation, please contact Marie Skov Lillelund at msl@billunderhverv.dk.

Transport by bus – departure from Billund Erhverv, Kløvermarken 35
At 11.30 – 12.30: Lunch at AL Sydbank on Sluseholmen
12.30:XNUMX p.m.: Why the world needs nuclear power by Partner Anatol Kjær Knudsen, 92 Capital ApS
We will get an introduction to modern reactor technology and how it relates to security of supply and the green transition, as well as a perspective on the significance for Danish business and value chains.
13.15:XNUMX p.m.: Megatrends and future investments v. Equity manager Jesper Engedal, AL Sydbank
We get a look into international megatrends, where energy and nuclear power are also central – both in terms of security of supply, the green transition and investments.
At approximately 2:15 p.m.: Transport to Saltfoss Energy, Copenhagen N.
3:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Visit to Saltfoss Energy
The Danish startup Saltfoss Energy (formerly Seaborg Technologies) is at the forefront of developing modular reactors based on molten uranium salt (so-called salt reactors).
It is a new type of advanced nuclear power technology focused on delivering green energy to the global emerging economies. The technology is designed to be significantly safer than traditional reactors, as the fuel is mixed in liquid salt, which prevents meltdowns and explosions.
We will hear about, among other things, the development of Compact Molten Salt Reactor (CMSR nuclear reactors), floating nuclear power plants, Saltfoss Energy's development as a company, their collaborations with major international players such as Korean Samsung Heavy Industries and KHNP, and the expectations for commercialization of the technologies.
Transport by bus to Hotel Marina in Vedbæk.
6:30 PM: Perspectives from Christiansborg – security of supply and nuclear power
Our 'local' member of parliament Frederik Bloch Münster (C) gives insight into his own thoughts and visions, and where he sees the political winds at Christiansborg for future security of supply, where he sees nuclear power in the equation and the potential for Danish business.
Shared dinner and networking.
Breakfast at the hotel
Transportation to DTU, Lyngby
9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.: Visit to Nuclear Energy DTU
Many different research fields and disciplines are relevant to the development of nuclear power technology. At DTU, eight institutes conduct research that contributes knowledge, particularly about molten salt reactors, also called MSRs.
Nuclear power using fission has existed for more than seven decades, and the technology has changed significantly over the years. In recent years in particular, nuclear power has once again become the subject of intense research and development, and completely new types of reactors are being developed.
Bent Lauritzen Senior Researcher, Head of Centre, Nuclear Energy DTU gives us insight into how DTU contributes to research and to creating knowledge about the potential and limitations of technologies.
11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: The OneHub and NNE – collaboration and alliance across Øresund
Göran Engberg, CEO of NordicNuclearEnergy and Kristina Wojnicki, responsible for Investor Relations at NNE and coordinator of The OneHub, give us insight into NNE's development of next-generation nuclear power technology in the Nordics with a focus on safe, sustainable and fossil-free energy systems. NNE is also the driver of the Öresund Nuclear Energy Hub 'The OneHub', which is a Danish-Swedish collaboration that aims to accelerate the nuclear power sector in the Øresund region.
Approx. 1:00 p.m. Transport back to Billund.
We expect lunch to be taken on the bus.
