The largest increase is seen in the Capital Region, where the share of international labor has increased from 10% to 17% in 10 years, while the second largest increase is seen in the Triangle Region, where the share of foreign labor has increased from 6% to 12% in 10 years.
The figures are from Jobindsats.dk, and they also show that Billund Municipality is the largest growing municipality when we talk about international labor in the entire Triangle area in the 4th quarter of 2024.
A full 19% of all employees in Billund Municipality are international, and in 10 years the number of foreign nationals residing in the municipality has increased from 1141 to 3501.

This emphasizes the need for international recruitment in companies and in our business community across industries and company sizes, and it shows that international labor is becoming increasingly important and is a significant contributor to overall employment growth in the area.
Companies depend on the international workforce, because without international employees, we would not have seen the same growth over the past 10 years.
Billund Erhverv handles Billund Municipality's service to our local companies that wish to recruit international employees.
The effort for international employees is about the necessary, qualified workforce for our companies, but it is also about the potential for settlement and new citizens.
If you are considering recruiting internationally, or if you already have international employees, you are welcome to reach out to Newcomer Service/Business Coordinator Marianne Thomsen at mkt@billunderhverv.dk or by telephone 22 69 24 98.
