Invest in Billund

Located in the heart of Denmark - a North European Hub

Centrally located with a global outlook – Billund Municipality offers unique opportunities with easy access to talent, knowledge, and international connections.

Strong and innovative industries

Billund is characterised by international companies and a multitude of SMEs with close ties to global markets. A wide range of industries are represented here, several of which hold particularly strong positions in Billund.

Due to the LEGO Group’s longstanding presence in Billund, the town is now home to a strong cluster of innovative companies specialising in advanced solutions within the manufacturing and processing industries.

Billund Airport and the municipality’s well-connected infrastructure make Billund an ideal hub for the transport, logistics and cargo industries. The expansion of Billund Airport Cargo Center opens up brand-new investment opportunities.

Billund is an international tourist destination, attracting several million visitors every year. LEGOLAND Billund Resort is a strategic collaboration between attractions across Southern Denmark. Together, they work to develop the tourism industry, creating attractive opportunities for both businesses and entrepreneurs.

Sustainability is a key driver of business development in the area. This is supported by several ambitious initiatives, including the Triangle Energy Alliance (TEA) – a new corporate alliance aiming to become the Northern European hub for green and sustainable energy production for transport, households, and industry.

Worldwide reach

There’s no better location in Denmark. Billund Municipality is centrally located, offering easy access to the rest of the world. It’s an international hub with strong ambitions for innovation, growth, and development.

Within 60 minutes you will have access to more than a million employees, several universities and other knowledge institutions as well as significant business partners.

Billund Airport – Denmark’s second-largest – is an international gateway that offers companies easy access to global destinations, partners, and customers.

The infrastructure in and around Billund Municipality is continuously developing. Within a few years, the municipality will be directly connected to the European motorway network, making it even easier to attract talent from outside the area.
