On Thursday 3 February 2022, the government, together with the Liberal Party, the Danish People's Party, the Radical Left and the Conservatives, agreed on a new model for the working environment rules that apply to homework.

Today, a number of special requirements apply to the design of so-called 'screen workplaces'. The rules occur when the screen work either takes place during the entire working time or takes place regularly and the working time corresponds to one day or more within a normal working week.

In order to make the rules more up-to-date, so that they meet the fact that more and more people have changing workplaces, it has therefore been agreed to change them.

In future, the rule that working hours must correspond to one day or more will be set at more than two days a week, seen as an average over approximately one month. This applies to screen work at home, at permanent workplaces and at changing workplaces.

The new rules are expected to enter into force at the end of April 2022.
