Conscious.dk got start-up help from Billund Erhverv

At Billund Erhverv, anyone thinking about starting their own business can get free sparring and guidance.

One of the entrepreneurs who has taken advantage of it is Tiril Wulvik.

For some time, she has come up with an idea to start a webshop that has a 100% focus on sustainable and recycled products. The idea arose during a visit to the Netherlands, where she was very inspired by the large markets with second grade vegetables and products based on circular thinking.

When Tiril decided that her business should start, she started by looking for information on the Internet. "I started by googling Billund and Erhverv, and then there was immediately FREE advice for entrepreneurs, and I thought it was just the thing for me" says Tiril and continues: "My husband also knew a little about Billund Erhverv beforehand, and he said that it was a really good idea to talk to one of the business developers".

It wasn't far from thought to action – Tiril called Billund Erhverv and arranged a meeting with Paul-Erik Hensgen, who, among other things, has business development, entrepreneurship, as well as mentor and investor networks as focus areas.

Tiril Wulvik is happy with the start-up help she received: "At the very first meeting, we reviewed my business idea and concluded that it had potential. We also got around the things that are important to get a handle on when you want to run a business. For example, through Billund Erhverv's adviser network, I got in touch with an accountant who gave me valuable advice.".

Tiril has made a very good start with his webshop Conscious.dk, where she sells sustainable products in personal care, kitchen and cleaning – products without single-use plastic packaging and products that can be used again and again.

Her advice to other entrepreneurs and startups is clear: "Take hold of Billund Erhverv! - you really get a lot of help, and when the business developer subsequently calls and invites you to an event that could be interesting for you, or calls to find out how your business is going, you feel really safe and in good hands" she says, and ends with a smile: "And it's free, so it's really something you as a startup can use for something".
